Michigan police probe death of man in river jump

A 20-year-old man died after jumping off the North Whittaker Street Bridge into the Galien River in New Buffalo at around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Witnesses reported seeing the man disappear under the water without resurfacing, leading to a search operation that eventually recovered his body. Police are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident.
