Axe attack during Oakland County bank robbery hospitalizes 1

A bank robbery in Southfield on July 1 left one person hospitalized after a suspect wielding an axe demanded money and attacked a bank employee. The incident occurred shortly after 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of 12 Mile and Franklin roads. The injured employee was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.
