During a preliminary hearing on July 1, dramatic footage was presented showing the Troy Corewell hospital as a shooting unfolded outside. On March 20, 2025, Robert Paljusevic, 21, allegedly fired at coworker Tyler Matoin in a hospital parking garage, hitting him twice in the arm. The incident triggered a lockdown and an active shooter alert at the hospital. Paljusevic was arrested soon after in Macomb County, while Matoin received treatment for his injuries.
