Detroit man charged in death of missing 13-year-old girl

Authorities have announced that the disappearance of 13-year-old Na’Ziyah Harris is now being treated as a homicide, with overwhelming evidence suggesting her death, though her body has not been found. Jarvis Butts, a 41-year-old known to Harris, has been charged with first-degree murder, child sexual abusive activity, and second-degree criminal sexual conduct, alongside charges related to the abuse of two other minors. Harris, who was allegedly pregnant and seeking an abortion, was last seen on January 9th, and her clothes were later found with signs of a struggle. Butts reportedly groomed and preyed on Harris, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Detroit Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
