Judge condemns former CFO’s greed in Detroit Riverfront Conservancy case

A federal judge sentenced former Detroit Riverfront Conservancy Chief Financial Officer William Smith to 19 years in prison Thursday for embezzling more than $40 million from the nonprofit organization over an 11-year period.
