Detroit expands Tool Library program to empower communities

Detroit is expanding a program to improve tool access for community projects, particularly in the Bailey Park-McDougal Hunt area. The initiative, supported by local residents like Sandra and Shavonne Williams and the Bailey Park Neighborhood Development Corporation, offers free tool access through a tool library for registered community groups. Individual residents can also borrow tools for a small fee. The program aims to address the gap in tool availability, enabling communities to enhance their neighborhoods effectively.
