Macomb County school employee allegedly hits 6-year-old with autism, charged with misdemeanor

A 53-year-old paraprofessional, Kimberley Horen, at Forest Park Elementary in Eastpointe has been charged with misdemeanor assault and battery for allegedly hitting a 6-year-old boy with autism on the head with his shoe. The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office said she was allowed to resign instead of being fired.
