Walgreens expands use of robots

Walgreens is expanding its use of robots in pharmacy operations by increasing the number of stores served by its micro-fulfillment centers. These centers automate the prescription-filling process, allowing pharmacy staff to focus on patient interaction and providing clinical services such as vaccinations and testing. Walgreens aims to enhance the patient experience and serve over 5,000 stores by year-end.
