Michigan lawmakers introduce 'Brown Alert' for water safety

State Representatives Alicia Saint Germaine and Ron Robinson have introduced a bill to create a "Brown Alert" system that would notify residents within 12 hours when raw sewage contaminates local waterways, similar to the Amber Alert system. The legislation, aimed at improving real-time communication about water safety, will be debated by the Committee on Natural Resources and Tourism.
