Detroit has launched a $5.4 million "Arts Alleys" project, selecting 43 local artists to transform neighborhood alleys into vibrant community spaces with murals and installations. Led by Rochelle Riley, the initiative aims to revitalize these areas as outdoor museums and community centers, fostering engagement through public art. Artists like Trae Isaac, Vito Valdez, Christine Bossler, and Jennifer Maples are creating works that emphasize community connection and inspiration, with official openings planned for June.
