Detroit mother shares life-saving experience

In February 2024, Celeste Cole from Detroit experienced cardiac arrest at home and was revived by her 4-year-old son, Liam, and her mother, Elizabeth, who performed hand-only CPR as instructed by a 911 operator. This quick action saved Celeste's life, highlighting the importance of knowing CPR since 70% of cardiac arrests occur at home. An upcoming event, Go 4 It CPR Lifesavers, offers hands-only CPR training on May 21st at the Coleman A. Young Recreation Center, encouraging community members to learn this life-saving skill.
