Man clings to moving car in attempted carjacking after police chase across Mackinac Bridge

Jack Maibach, a 27-year-old from Northville, led police on a chase across the Mackinac Bridge after failing to stop for speeding. The pursuit escalated when Maibach crashed through a toll booth gate and continued driving in the wrong lane before abandoning his disabled vehicle near Mackinac Straits Hospital. He then attempted to carjack a vehicle with a woman and child inside, clinging to the car as it drove away. Maibach was eventually apprehended in a hotel parking lot after violently resisting arrest.
