Northville man arrested after Mackinac Bridge police chase

A Metro Detroit man, Jack Maibach, faces charges after a police chase across the Mackinac Bridge, culminating in an attempted carjacking. The pursuit began when Maibach failed to stop for speeding and continued through a toll booth gate arm onto the northbound I-75, eventually leading to a disabled vehicle near Mackinac Straits Hospital. Maibach attempted to carjack a vehicle with a woman and child inside, clinging to it until he fell off. Police later found and arrested him at a nearby hotel after he resisted arrest.
