Michigan hit by cucumber salmonella outbreak

Health officials are investigating a multistate salmonella outbreak linked to cucumbers, with at least 26 cases reported, including in Michigan. The cucumbers, grown by Bittner Growers and distributed by Fresh Start Produce Sales, were shipped nationwide between April 29 and May 19. The CDC advises consumers to discard any cucumbers purchased during this period or if the source is uncertain.
