Charges filed against 2 in Pontiac high school graduation shooting plot

Charges have been filed against Jamarion Hardiman and Dhaeveon Whaley for weapons violations in connection with a suspected plot to attack a high school graduation in Pontiac. Both suspects, arraigned via Zoom, face charges including carrying a firearm with unlawful intent, possession of a firearm during a felony, and carrying a concealed weapon. The charges follow an incident on June 3, where a confrontation at the UWM Sports Complex escalated, leading to the suspects retrieving guns after a fight. While there was an alleged Snapchat threat indicating a potential mass shooting, it remains unverified, so charges are currently focused on weapon-related offenses.
