EGLE finds major problems in Wyandotte Water System

Residents of Wyandotte are testing their water and avoiding drinking from the tap after the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) identified four major health risks in the city's water system. EGLE found significant deterioration in 40% of the system and contaminants like tennis balls and insects in a reservoir. Despite the city's assurances that their water meets safety standards, EGLE has expressed concerns about the water department's capacity to manage these issues effectively.
