Security guard foils Pontiac high school mass shooting

Dhaeveon Whaley and Jamarion Hardiman are facing charges related to a foiled plot to shoot up a high school graduation in Oakland County. The men allegedly hid weapons in the parking lot of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Pontiac, where the ceremony was scheduled, and Hardiman is also charged with assault. They are being held on high cash bonds due to the perceived threat they pose. A security officer, formerly with the Oakland County sheriff’s office and now working for Fortis Security, alerted authorities, effectively preventing the potential mass shooting.
