Go 4 It: Detroit nonprofits pedal toward greener, accessible future

Local 4 collaborates with Free Bikes 4 Kidz, MI-Cycle, and Back Alley Bikes for the Wheelie Good Cause event, collecting bikes for Metro Detroit. The event at Oakland Mall on June 10 will collect bikes of any condition, which will be repaired and distributed to those in need by partner organizations. Free Bikes 4 Kidz, established in 2018, has given over 10,000 bikes to children, with a significant portion distributed during the holiday season. Back Alley Bikes and MI-Cycle focus on cycling education, sustainable practices, and community access, providing repaired bikes and employment opportunities to Detroit residents.
