Ypsilanti man arrested after police chase through Livingston County ends in crash

A 42-year-old Ypsilanti man, Jeremy Nelson, was arrested following a police chase through Livingston County that ended in a crash. The chase began on US-23 near Fenton after police spotted a stolen vehicle, which then evaded spike strips and side-swiped another car. The pursuit concluded when Nelson crashed into a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado at Hughes Road, disabling both vehicles. Nelson faces several charges, including fleeing, eluding, and concealing a stolen vehicle, and remains in jail on a $100,000 bond, while the Silverado's driver sustained minor injuries.
