Southgate shooting suspect in custody

Jeremiah Kemp, 20, is in custody after allegedly shooting two police officers in the leg at the Village on the Park Apartments in Southgate. It started when officers responded to a report of a man waving a gun; Kemp reportedly fired at them and then fled by jumping from a second-floor window. He was apprehended four hours later. The officers were treated and released, now recovering at home.
