Church security and community member stop potential massacre

A potential shooting at CrossPointe Community Church in Wayne County was averted due to the quick actions of church employees and a churchgoer. Brian Browning, who had previously attended the church and sought counsel from Pastor Bobby Kelly, arrived armed and wearing a tactical vest. The situation was diffused when a churchgoer struck Browning with a vehicle, and church security neutralized him in the parking lot. Investigators suggest Browning was experiencing a mental health crisis, though he showed no prior animosity towards the church.
