New Detroit City FC stadium aims to connect downtown, Corktown, Southwest neighborhoods

Detroit City Football Club has selected architecture firm HOK to design a new 15,000-seat soccer stadium on the former Southwest Hospital site. The project aims to connect downtown Detroit with Corktown and the Southwest neighborhoods, with construction starting early next year and completion expected by spring 2027. HOK, known for designing other major stadiums like Little Caesars Arena and Mercedes-Benz Stadium, will lead the design efforts.
