31 workers safe after LA tunnel collapse

The Los Angeles Fire Department reported that 31 construction workers safely exited after a partial collapse of an industrial tunnel. The incident occurred as workers were up to six miles inside and 400 feet underground. Despite the collapse, paramedics found no serious injuries among the workers. The tunnel is part of a $700 million project to transport treated wastewater from Los Angeles County to the Pacific Ocean.
