$25 million bond for McDonald’s employee accused of stabbing manager in Eastpointe

Afeni Muhammad, a 26-year-old McDonald's employee from Eastpointe, was arraigned on charges of first-degree murder and other offenses after allegedly stabbing her manager, Jennifer Harris, to death at a McDonald’s in Eastpointe. The incident occurred when Muhammad returned to the restaurant after being sent home for not performing her duties, entered with a concealed identity, and stabbed Harris multiple times; she was apprehended by an armed customer. Muhammad's arraignment concluded with a $25 million bond set due to concerns about her violent history and flight risk, with her probable cause conference and preliminary examination scheduled for later in July. Harris is remembered by her children as a hardworking and selfless single mother of six.
