Full hearing: Worker accused of killing Eastpointe McDonald’s manager returns to court

Afeni Badu Muhammad, 26, of Eastpointe, appeared in court on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. She has been charged with first-degree murder, carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent and being a habitual offender, second offense, in connection with the death of 39-year-old Jennifer Harris. Her attorney asked for a competency and culpability evaluation. The probable cause conference was adjourned, and a review date was set for Sept. 3
