Flashpoint July 27, 2025: What experts believe happened to Jimmy Hoffa

On this week’s Flashpoint, we talk with crime reporter Scott Burnstein, who along with a key former member of the Detroit mob and a federal prosecutor, discuss what they think happened to Jimmy Hoffa. We discuss the lead up to July 30, 1975 when Hoffa disappeared from the Machus Red Fox Restaurant in Bloomfield Township and-- according to Burnstein-- was kidnapped, taken to a home nearby and murdered. From there his body was put through a sausage auger and then incinerated at a disposal company in Dearborn. That disposal building burned down shortly after. Hey also identifies the shooter as a member of the Tocco-Zerilli crime family-- Anthony “Tony Pal” Palazzolo. Watch Flashpoint every Sunday at 10 a.m. on Local 4 News and Local 4+.
