Oakland County street sees 2nd deadly hit-and-run in month

Authorities in Oakland County are investigating a second deadly hit-and-run on Baldwin Avenue in Pontiac. On August 5, Thomas Cummings, 43, was fatally struck by a southbound vehicle, suspected to be Jeep-styled, while crossing the street. This crash follows a similar crash involving a Jeep that killed a bicyclist in the area a month earlier. Both drivers fled the scenes, and the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information from the public, with Crime Stoppers offering a reward for tips leading to an arrest.
