Heartbroken family demands justice after deadly I-696 hit-and-run

A 36-year-old woman from Warren faces felony charges after a hit-and-run incident on west I-696 early Sunday morning. Nateria Smith, 29, was struck and killed by a Chevrolet SUV while attempting to fill her car with gas. The vehicle was later found with crash-consistent damage, leading to the arrest of Meghan Hamilton, who was charged with failure to stop at the scene of a crash resulting in serious injury or death. Hamilton's bond was set at $50,000, and her next court date is on August 28.
