Warren police respond after man alleges abuse during mental health crisis arrest

The Warren Police Department is responding tonight after being sued by a man with schizophrenia who says he was abused during a mental health crisis. On Wednesday (Aug. 13) night, Local 4 showed body camera footage from Christopher Gibson’s 2022 arrest. It shows officers struggling to control him, even using a taser. Gibson claims he suffered serious injuries to his heart and kidneys during the incident. But Warren police dispute those claims and others made by Gibson and his lawyers.
