Belle Isle 5K draws hundreds to support scholarships for underrepresented students

Hundreds braved the heat to run or walk a 5K along Belle Isle. They gathered in full force on Saturday, Aug. 16, to raise $600,000 to help students of color attend college. For decades, UNCF has raised billions, providing scholarships and internships to deserving students of color. The organization was founded more than 80 years ago to help minorities across achieve higher education across the country.
