The Mack Alive Community Resource Center is celebrating its 35th anniversary with a parade on Detroit’s East Side on Saturday, August 23. The event, organized by founder Alberta Tinsley-Talabi, includes a parade along Mack Avenue featuring community participants, performances, and giveaways. The celebration aims to foster community connection and positivity amid recent local gun violence concerns. Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison, committed to addressing these issues, will serve as a Grand Marshall for the parade, highlighting efforts to promote safety and unity.
