Grosse Pointe Park man critically injured in workplace electrocution

A 41-year-old worker from Grosse Pointe Park is in critical condition after being electrocuted by a power line while on a mechanical lift near Mound Road and Metro Parkway. It left the man unconscious and required firefighters to rescue him from the lift. Despite CPR attempts, he was not revived at the scene and was transported to the hospital. DTE Energy crews are on site working to restore power to residents affected by the outage caused by the accident.
