On eve of Katrina anniversary, former FEMA appointee looks back at federal failures and fixes

Aug. 29, 2005, marks 20 years since Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast -- one of the deadliest and costliest natural disasters in United States history. On the eve of that somber anniversary, Local 4 was joined by someone who had a front-row seat to the federal clean-up response. Mark Neveau is a former FEMA presidential appointee who witnessed the changes to the agency after the failed initial response to Katrina.
