Police chase ends with stolen car’s axle ripped off on I-96
Dashcam footage captured a dramatic police chase on I-96 involving a stolen car. Michigan State Police identified the vehicle early on a Thursday morning and pursued it into Livonia. Livonia police used a Grappler device to disable the car by ensnaring its rear axle. Despite the driver's attempts to escape by reversing and driving forward, the axle was torn from the car, leading to the arrest of a 27-year-old Brighton man and two women from Wayne and Livonia. No injuries were reported.
