$2 million Powerball ticket sold in Detroit as jackpot grows to $1.7 billion

A Powerball ticket sold at Sunkiss Market in Detroit matched five white balls, winning $2 million thanks to the Power Play, after the drawing on Wednesday, Sept. 3. This marks the second major win in Michigan this week, following a $1 million prize from a ticket sold at a CVS pharmacy in Detroit. The Powerball jackpot, now $1.7 billion, is the third-largest in U.S. history, with the next drawing scheduled for Saturday.
