Multiple sexual assault charges filed against hospital worker in Detroit
Wilfredo Figueroa-Berrios, a 47-year-old hospital worker from Wayne, faces multiple charges of sexual assault, including third and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, after allegedly assaulting a 41-year-old woman in a porta-potty on May 9 outside Grand Circus Park. He pleaded not guilty in court, where the prosecution revealed four additional cases against him, accusing him of targeting vulnerable patients at the hospital where he works. Despite challenges to the credibility of a key witness by the defense, who claimed the witness was highly intoxicated, Figueroa-Berrios was deemed a community danger, with bond set at $100,000, and upcoming bond and preliminary hearings scheduled.
