Westland condo fire displaces families, damages multiple units
A fire broke out early Friday morning at Woodview Condominiums in Westland, displacing several families and damaging eight units beyond habitation. The Westland Fire Department quickly responded due to a nearby station, but several units were already engulfed in flames. The American Red Cross is assisting at least ten displaced families. Resident Christopher Emmett, whose unit was narrowly saved, described the scene as chaotic and expressed relief that his home remained intact, although it suffered smoke damage.
