Detroit family mourns 12-year-old killed in Louisville crash caused by drunk driver

A tragic accident in Louisville, Kentucky, claimed the life of 12-year-old Jada Smith from Detroit after a drunk driver, Renaldo James Gill, crashed into the vehicle she was in on the Gene Snyder Freeway. The crash resulted in Jada being ejected and her mother, Jasmine Simpson, sustaining severe injuries while Simpson's younger daughter was found under the vehicle but survived. Gill, who was found intoxicated with alcohol and marijuana, faces multiple charges, including DUI and murder. The family is focusing on bringing Jasmine home for recovery and arranging a funeral for Jada.
