Full presser: Officials announce arrest of shooter accused of killing Charlie Kirk
The person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk has been arrested, officials said. President Donald Trump initially announced on Fox News Friday morning that the suspected shooter “with a high degree of certainty” has been caught. Kirk, a conservative activist, was fatally shot during an event he was hosting at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10. A Mauser .30-caliber, bolt-action rifle with a scope was found in a towel in the woods nearby following the shooting. The suspected shooter ran from the scene. After federal officials released various images and videos asking the public for help finding the man, he was arrested Thursday night.
