Man accused of hitting police dog with stolen car amid Metro Detroit crime spree

A 62-year-old man, Karl Williams Sr., is facing over a dozen charges after a crime spree in Metro Detroit, including striking a police K-9 with a stolen car. Williams allegedly stole a running GMC Acadia in Oak Park, attempted to rob a Walgreens in Southfield, and planned to rob a car wash in Warren. During a confrontation with police, Williams reportedly drove the stolen vehicle into police cruisers and hit a K-9, leading to a high-speed chase into Detroit where he and three accomplices were arrested. Charged with multiple offenses, including conspiracy to commit armed robbery and assault with a dangerous weapon, Williams could face life in prison if convicted.
