Sunken 1886 schooner found in Lake Michigan

Researchers have found the F-J King, a wooden schooner that sank in Lake Michigan in 1886 during a storm. Known as a "ghost ship" for evading discovery for decades, the wreck was located using sonar technology by the Wisconsin Underwater Archaeology Association near Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin. Citizen scientists participated in the project, being the first to see the vessel since its sinking.
