Macomb County man accused of stabbing wife to death during custody exchange

A 25-year-old man, Sydney Emmanuel Davis Jr., has been charged with first-degree murder for allegedly stabbing his estranged wife, Fatme Davis, during a custody exchange at a gas station in Shelby Township. The incident occurred on September 21, when Fatme, known as Stella, was reportedly trying to facilitate a custody exchange for their 1-year-old son. Despite previous reports of abuse filed by Fatme, the situation escalated fatally. Sydney Davis was arrested, denied bond, and his legal proceedings are scheduled for early October. Their son is currently under the care of Child Protective Services, with efforts underway to place him with family.
