Eastpointe police warn community after arrest of man accused of sexually assaulting child

A 12-year-old girl in Macomb County reported being abducted and raped by 52-year-old Andrew Logan Williams, a convicted sex offender, at his home on September 22, 2025. Williams was arrested in New York with the cooperation of Eastpointe police, Detroit Police Department, New York State Police, and federal marshals. The girl, hailed as a hero for coming forward, prevented further potential victims by speaking out. Authorities continue investigating Williams' home for additional evidence and urge parents to remain vigilant about their children's safety.
