Ford, Detroit Public Schools Community District partner to launch high-tech Future Builders Labs

Ford and the Detroit Public Schools Community District have partnered to launch Future Builders Labs, high-tech classrooms designed to equip K-12 students with practical skills in skilled trades and the essential economy. These labs, featuring tools like 3D printers and laser cutters, will be installed in multiple schools across Detroit, Marshall, and Battle Creek, empowering students to imagine, create, and problem-solve in real time. With a $5 million investment for workforce development through 2026, the program aims to benefit over 100,000 students and educators, providing hands-on experience and helping students explore diverse career pathways in the 21st century.
