Mormon community raises over $280K for family of Grand Blanc church shooter
In a remarkable act of forgiveness, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints raised over $280,000 for the family of Thomas Jacob Sanford, who attacked their church in Michigan, killing four and injuring eight. Dave Butler, a Mormon from Utah, initiated the fundraiser to help Sanford’s widow and son, receiving support from over 7,000 donors. The campaign highlights the community's commitment to biblical teachings, emphasizing support for widows and orphans, and reflects the broader theme of compassion and forgiveness within the community.
