City leaders announced significant new truck traffic restrictions in Southwest Detroit that will take effect Monday. Southwest Detroit is set to see significant changes in truck traffic starting Monday as city leaders roll out new restrictions aimed at reducing the impact of heavy trucks on neighborhoods. “I think it’s a good idea because to me the big trucks are causing more damage to the roads,” said Gwendolyn Bowling, a Southwest Detroit resident.
