Text messages reveal planning for men accused of posing as DTE workers, killing man
Detective Jordan Conley of the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office testified about data extracted from suspect Zuazo’s phone, revealing text messages with Hernandez that detailed planning and logistics for a crime. The messages included discussions about acquiring a car, arranging meeting times, and sending a photo of a "waiver of damages" form matching paperwork found in Michigan. Hernandez’s wife, Amanda, was also implicated through messages discussing fake IDs, badges, a stolen and burned truck, and evasion tactics. Despite the defense's argument that the messages suggested larceny rather than murder, the coordination pointed towards involvement in the crime.
