Semi-truck restrictions begin in SW Detroit
New restrictions take effect on Oct. 6 for semi-truck drivers in southwest Detroit. The city is banning heavy truck traffic on streets like Livernois, Dragoon, Clark, Scotten, and West Grand Boulevard to reduce noise, pollution, and damage to neighborhood roads. Trucks can still make local deliveries and must adhere to approved routes, such as Michigan Avenue, Fort Street, and John Kronk.
