5 years later, Southfield mother still seeks justice after daughter was wrongly declared dead
Five years after Southfield paramedics mistakenly declared Timesha Beauchamp dead, her mother, Erica Lattimore, continues to seek justice. Despite multiple delays in their lawsuit against Southfield EMS, largely due to claims of governmental immunity by the defendants, Lattimore remains determined to hold them accountable. The incident, which occurred in August 2020 when Beauchamp, who had cerebral palsy, was found alive at a funeral home, has taken a significant emotional toll on the family. They plan to commemorate the anniversary of the incident with a balloon release on October 18.
