Another lawsuit reveals new allegations against former nurse at Sinai-Grace Hospital

Another lawsuit was filed against Sinai-Grace Hospital on Tuesday after an additional victim in a sexual assault case came forward. Wilfredo Figueroa-Berrios, 47, is accused of assaulting a patient while he was working at Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit and faces four other sexual assault charges, where prosecutors claimed he “preys on vulnerable patients” who seek help at the hospital. He’s also accused of sexually assaulting a 41-year-old woman after forcing himself into a porta-potty on May 9 outside Grand Circus Park in Detroit. On Oct. 14, the Michigan Sexual Assault Lawyers filed a lawsuit on behalf of one victim who alleged that Figueroa-Berrios sexually assaulted her while she was in the hospital in July 2025.
